I am a Shambhala Guide, authorized in the Shambhala tradition to give meditation instruction. I have a deep connection to my daily practice and am the coordinator of our local sangha here in Nashville.

I am the program coordinator and work with regional teachers to bring meditation retreat weekends to Nashville.

I am passionate about Shambhala! My sangha and my practice are near and dear to me, and I want to do whatever I can to support others on their path.

I spent the last 25 years in Vermont, and recently moved to Music City, Nashville Tennessee.

I love Nashville! We have a very active sangha in the music and arts community.

I love to travel and visit as many Shambhala centers as I can, helping to staff or bring social meditation when I can.

I have been meditating since 2011 and have been a student of the Shambhala teachings since 2012. I am currently on the long and winding teachers' path, and am an authorized Course Leader, so am able to facilitate 'Meditation in Everyday Life', 'Contentment in everyday Life' and 'Joy in Everyday Life'.

My current position as Coordinator for Nashville Shambhala is a volunteer job.

Main teachers

Wow. It's truly humbling to be thrust into a leadership position in Shambhala before you feel ready! For the past year I have been grappling with a fear that I am not "enough" to be guiding our sangha.

At the same time, I know that through my practice and support of our amazing sangha, we can all grow together into "leaders". I am so grateful for y'all!

It's also a humbling experience to need to ask for money to be able to complete my study and practice requirements. Believe me, I'd rather I didn't have to!

But, it is what it is for the moment. I am finding creative ways to generate income in ways that still leave me the freedom to be the volunteer coordinator for Nashville Shambhala, a position that is both endearing and totally ass-kicking!

I am asking for help to raise the funds needed to attend 3 in-person events and 3 online classes, which serve as the completion of my requirements for Shambhala Guide Training and preparation for the Shambhala Think Tank in October.

My offering is my full dedication to my own meditation practice and to bring the teachings of Shambhala and meditation to anyone who is feeling inspired to learn more. I volunteer 20 hours a week for our local sangha, and also help facilitate a regional call to support other Shambhala center finance folks.

I am also participating in the Shambhala Think Tank in October, where we will gather with many Shambhala teachers and supporters to dive deeply into what we need now for our society to manifest it's basic goodness.
