The Growing Brave: Families and Children in Shambhala Conference will be held at the Boulder Shambhala Center October 6-9, 2017. Acharya Adam Lobel and Sangyum Wendy Friedman will teach, facilitate, and co-create possibilities with all who attend.

"Children and families are at the very heart of the Shambhala vision, not something we need to prioritize more. This is the most important practice we do in Shambhala. It is around how we are with our children and the culture we create with parents that is actually the way forward.” - Kalapa Acharya Adam Lobel

We are seeking the funds to change the way our sangha supports families and children. It is not enough to say that children are our future. To truly create enlightened society, it is not enough to only educate the grown-up. Society is made up of children, teens, adults, and elders. So it is for enlightened society as well. Yet as a sangha our infrastructure and programming has only attended to one or two of these segments.

This conference is made possible by the hard work of those who came before us - countless people working with families and children throughout the mandala. Now we are bringing together many more voices from across the entire world to begin the important process of creating a standard/resource/new vision for the lives of families and children in Shambhala.

A better way is not only possible, but imperative. Please support us as we work to envision the future towards enlightened society.
